Video Technician

Necessary Skills/Job. Requirements:

• Computer literacy in Windows and Mac OS including MS Office Suite and rental operations software such as Flex Rental Solutions. Also proficient in Barco, Resolume, Newtek, Chyron, Adobe and other software suites related to professional video display, playback and capture

• Strong technical aptitude related to video production equipment including, but not limited to: video projectors, LED display products, media servers, video switchers, video production systems, playback and recording devices, video lighting systems, video camera systems and other equipment relating to the video production discipline as it relates to broadcast and audio/visual presentation

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including. nights and weekends as necessary

• Strong customer service aptitude with a focus on Customer Satisfaction

• Strong teamwork and leadership abilities

• The ability to work without supervision to. achieve company goals as dictated by the Company President, Director of Media. and Director of Production

• The ability to lift items upwards of 50 lb. and perform various physical tasks as necessary including climbing ladders, using power tools, painting, cleaning and construction

• A clean driving record and the ability to operate vans, box trucks, forklifts, vehicles towing trailers, scissor and personnel lifts etc.

• The ability to be “on-call” on nights, weekends and holidays as necessary

• The ability to travel domestically and  internationally and hold a valid U.S. Passport

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Work with small and large scale audio/visual presentation systems for live events including business meetings, concerts and entertainment events, sporting events and a variety of special events

• Manage recorded media, create content(including, but not limited to motion and static graphics) and perform pre and. post-production editing for internal and external clients

• Maintain the inventory of video production equipment including preventative maintenance and periodic inspections

• Wire racks and fabricate cable looms, package video and camera systems for portability and efficiency

• Work with the Production Manager and Warehouse manager to prepare and quality check in and outbound rental and production orders and pull

• Function as a video technician, LED Technician, projectionist, engineer, graphics operator, camera technician, broadcast audio operator or director as necessary

• Supervise freelance and Union technicians and. stagehands as necessary

• Use Flex Rental solutions to determine work-flow, enter and track changes to orders as necessary

• Maintain an organized workplace at all times, on the job and in the warehouse

• Conduct preventive equipment maintenance

• Function as a point of contact regarding event changes in absence of Event Sales Staff

• Function as on-site Production liaison to customers

• Operate company owned and rental vehicle fleet to deliver and return equipment from Production and Rental customers

• Function as an ambassador of the company at all times, working to present a positive image of NPi Audio Visual Solutions

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with rental and production deliveries and pickups as necessary

• Assist customers over the phone with rental and production questions and orders

• Enter orders into Flex, generate pull sheets and other documents as necessary

• Perform minor repairs as necessary, coordinate major repairs with vendors
