Job Description

NPi is looking for an experienced GSA salesperson with at least 3 to 5 years of experience. The GSA sales position will involve identifying and pursuing sales opportunities with federal, state, and local government agencies, managing bids and proposals, building relationships with government procurement officials, and ensuring sales targets are met. Key responsibilities include creating and submitting bids, understanding government regulations, promoting products/services, and coordinating with agencies to fulfill orders. The role requires a sales professional who can navigate the complexities of government procurement and leverage GSA schedules for sales growth.

NPi Systems, a division within NPi, has developed a team-oriented approach to sales, installation, and service that requires the candidate to demonstrate strong collaboration skills and promote inclusion in all projects being bid or worked on. Each member of the team will be involved in day-to-day sales strategies and assist with the sales process from inception to close of project. The position is an office-based role with expectations of minimal travel to and from prospective sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the AVL integration space

  • Conduct thorough client needs assessments, site surveys, and technical consultations

  • Design and recommend custom AVL solutions tailored to client requirements and budget

  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, demos, and proposals

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and installation teams to ensure solution feasibility and smooth handoffs

  • Prepare accurate quotes, scopes of work, and Bill of Materials (BOMs)

  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to post-sale support

  • Maintain a deep understanding of AVL systems including video conferencing, digital signage, audio distribution, control systems, and structured cabling

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products

  • Representing the company at industry events, client meetings, and trade shows

  • Build long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent post-sale communication and support

  • Utilize CRM tools to track pipelines, forecast revenue, and manage client accounts

  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies and promotional materials for AVL solutions

  • Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams based on client interactions and market demands

  • Work toward achieving CTS certification within one year of hire

 

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in AVL integration, with a focus on design/build or consultative sales

  • Deep understanding of audio, video, and control system design and functionality

  • Familiarity with key AVL platforms and manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure, AMX, etc.

  • Solid grasp of networking concepts as they apply to AVL systems (AVL-over-IP, Dante, PoE, VLANs, etc.)

  • Understanding of DMX, Art-Net, sACN

  • Working with industry leading lighting brands, ETC, Martin, Elation, Clay Paky, Strand

  • Ability to read and interpret system schematics, floor plans, and construction documents

  • Strong consultative sales approach — able to uncover pain points, educate clients, and recommend the right-fit solution

  • Proficiency in CRM tools for managing pipeline, follow-ups, and reporting

  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships that go beyond the initial sale

  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and capable of managing your own time and pipeline

  • Curious and adaptable — eager to learn about new technologies and bring fresh solutions to clients

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and follow-through

  • Comfortable navigating both fast-paced environments and long-cycle sales projects

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation

  • Strong listener who can translate technical details into client-friendly solutions

  • Comfortable working with internal stakeholders including engineering, project management, and field tech teams

  • Capable of representing the company in client meetings, walkthroughs, and industry events with professionalism and credibility

  • Valid Driver’s License and a motor vehicle record that meets NPi standards

 

Additional Qualifications (Not Required)

  • CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification

  • Experience in AVL design engineering

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, D-Tools, or Bluebeam

  • Background in working with enterprise, education, or government clients

  • Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in communications, Sound Engineering, Music Production, Audio Production, Video Production, Sound Design, Media Arts, Marketing, Entertainment Engineering or similar.
